Thrift shopping tips galore!
Walletpop isn’t the only one with thrift shopping tips! TSL did some sleuthing and found many many other thrift shopping advice articles on the web.
Click here for our favorite. In “How to thrift like a pro” MissCedar at Indulgences is spot on in reminding you to carry a tape measure (we always forget) and–for the women–wear a loose fitting skirt so you can covertly try clothing on beneath it.
We also came across this Associated Content article about shopping for furniture in thrift stores. “Question the obvious” is our favorite tip, and it basically means remember that furniture doesn’t always have to be used for its intended purpose. A standing toolbox could become your kitchen island, or a kitchen island could become your tv stand.
Here are some of the other interesting thrift shopping tip articles we found:
-Safety tips from our government (!!)
-Shopping tips from Frugal Village
-Shopping tips from The Bargainist
There are many many more thrift shopping articles out there, so feel free to Google up if this isn’t enough for you.
