Thrift store throwdown.

The University of Oregon wrote about a “Thrift store throwdown” in which two of their writers went to a local thrift store to see what sort of cool outfits they could put together. TSL loves the title, and the concept! Since the average college student has tens of thousands of dollars of debt, we think more of them should try thrift shopping for fashion.

Yahoo news also had a thrift store throwdown of their own, but they called it a “Thrift store challenge” and it was mostly stupid. No offense Yahoo news, but if you’re going to try and illustrate how people can find cool, stylish outfits in thrift stores, don’t use a guy who continually disses thrift stores and acts like they’re gross. Here’s the video if you must see it. We think we could’ve found better outfits, hands down. Plus we would’ve been really excited the whole time instead of negative!

  2. This blog is simply smashing. In my humble opinion of course. As this post is rather debatable I don’t think all your blog visitors are going to agree with it.
