Leading the Revolutionary Craft Beer Industry

The Craft Beer Industry has been experiencing steady growth in Canada. In 2015, 10% of the Canadian beer market was composed of the Craft Beer. In 2008, 88 locations were specializing in the brand. However, the number had risen to 520 in 2015.

Trends adopted by Craft Beer

Craft Beer has started packaging its products in aluminum cans rather than the traditional bottles. For example, the Ottawa Beyond The Pale Brewing Company only used bottles and some two one-liter growlers. It introduced a canning system in 2015. Cameron’s Brewing Co. in Mississauga, Ontario is using cans in most of its brews while the Black Bridge is prominently known for its favor of cans. Cans are known to be resistant to light and oxygen. The two factors are known to reduce the shelf life and make shipping costly and risky.

In 2015, Ontario invested $1.6 million with an objective of helping 20 small brewers to expand and grow their marketing. B.C announced a facilitation of $10 million and a 25 % reduction in costs in the regional distribution. Alberta is expected to channel their support of $20 million to boost the same Craft Beer Industry. Some of the other main Craft Beer companies owned by big players include the Hop City by Creemore Springs, Upper Canada Brewing Company, and the Waterloo Brewing owned by Brick Brewer (http://vancouverfoodster.com/tag/eli-gershkovitch/).
